I’m an eclectic, insightful, practiced artist. I have an affinity for caricature and color in my artwork and pursue subjects with a bit of drama. As a designer I've created book cover designs (one a best seller!), worked with a fashion photographer to create editorial as well as a multitude of posters, logos, flyers, and display advertisement and editorial illustration for an alternative newsweekly. My drawing style is distinct and ‘edgy' with a sophisticated use of line, color and perspective. Cover designs reflect a wealth of distilled research, appropriate typography choices, bold color sense, and compositional savvy.

I have a knack for subtle but telling caricature in my drawings. Specializing in portraits of dancers, performers, musicians, and actors. I like to focus on expressive human movement, dramatic flair and charismatic personality. Book jacket design entails diligent research, collection of assets, the correct alignment of elements, and evolved communication and listening process. I work quickly and with focus and I most certainly want someone to judge a book by its cover, or at least be pleasantly surprised!

For illustration I will hand draw while also utilizing Procreate, Pixelmator Pro, and the Affinity Creative Suite for either clean-up or layout. I quite often take my own photographs for atmospheric or product design. I am spontaneous and instinctive in the creation process while being efficient and thorough in the final production.

I’m a personable, passionate, professional, and persuasive communicator.

I have as well been a contributor to the online performing arts blog: ontheboards.org/blog

where I was consistently challenged to synthesize and communicate written impressions of touring international performance to a wide audience of arts professionals. Not a critic per se, but an enthusiast!

I've recently completed a long-gestating memoir project with original illustrations, being shopped to independent publishers.
